I Want My MTV
Unless you have been living in a (wait for it) bubble for the past few weeks, you have probably realized that I am writing for an awesome new MTV show, “Band in a Bubble.” During a live MTV broadcast on May 24, Atlanta rock band Cartel will be locked in a giant see-through bubble on Hudson River Park’s Pier 54, where they will remain for 20 days, with no escape, recording their new album. When the bubble “bursts” on June 12, Cartel will perform their new album in a live concert for fans.
While the band is sealed in the bubble, the drama and excitement of Cartel’s recording process can be viewed in-person, on-air, and online. Web cams will stream live 24/7 on www.drpepperbubble.com and the event will air as a music special with four 30-minute episodes on MTV, which will also be available on-demand at MTV.com.
