Year of the Jet Packs

I’m not usually much of a holiday person, but this New Year’s Eve was truly a blast. We went to a party in the East Village, where it seemed half the population of New York City was celebrating. I finally headed home around 4am, and by the time I got off the train on 49th St., Times Square was actually sort of quiet and peaceful, albeit completely covered in confetti. It was so pretty that, momentarily, I forgave the tourists who invaded my neighborhood that day.
