(Drawing) Rings Around the World

I have never really been into animation. As a kid, I watched dutifully as my brother enjoyed Disney and Warner Brothers cartoons, shorts, and films, but it just never appealed to me. Don’t get me wrong; I respect animators, cartoonists, in-betweeners. But I preferred to watch live-action films. And music videos.

For whatever reason, the handful of animated films I enjoyed as a child popped into my head tonight. I haven’t watched any of these since the Reagan era (second administration), but I was able to locate them easily on You Tube.

Without any further ado:

The Skeleton Dance (1929).

Donald’s Snow Fight (1942).

Donald Duck and the Gorilla (1944).

Garfield in Disguise: Halloween Adventure (Part I) (Part II) (Part III).

I rewatched them all tonight. Do they still hold up?

You bet.
