More Songs About Buildings & Food
A few nights ago, I awoke from a dream with this simple phrase in my head: “He chose to snap, but she had a prescription, too.” For a few moments, as I yawned and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, I struggled to figure out this freakish phrase, and then I remembered my dream: I was a filmmaker, and wrote a horror movie called Helmet. The movie poster was a close-up of a woman wearing a bicycle helmet, and the phrase “He chose to snap, but she had a prescription, too” was actually the movie’s tagline printed on the poster; the genre was some sort of attack/revenge film (a la Abel Ferrara’s Ms. 45, or Alexandre Aja’s Haute Tension). I am beginning to wonder if, thanks to my nightly habit of eating spicy food before bed, this sleep-created idea could perhaps be a great horror classic one day. Yeah, I said it.
Moving on…
