You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away
Since I love my readers, I would like to let you in on a NYC “hidden spot.” In the back corner of Le Parker Meridian‘s hotel lobby, flanked by heavy drapes and marked only with a tiny neon light, you will find the entrance to a dive which offers some of the best burgers, fries, milkshakes, and brownies in the city. Even better is that the establishment, which looks straight out of 1972, is nestled far back in the hotel’s posh lobby, and, from the street, you’d never even know it existed (I’ve lived in NYC for seven years, and didn’t find out about the elusive burger joint until fairly recently). I highly recommend the hamburger with “the works.”
“Be ready or else you go to the end of the line.”

Jesus Christ, that is a good burger!

Be prepared to wait in line.

As much as I loooove a good burger (or cheesesteak) I HATE it when businesses get all bitchy about “the proper way to order OR ELSE!!!!!!”

I’ve heard about this place. Apparently, the best time to go is around 2:45 on a weekday – after the lunchtime crush. There still might be a line, but it’s not as bad. What, no veggie burger?

My coworkers and I thought the same thing, that by going super-early or super-late (we’ve tried as early as 11am, and as late as 4:30 pm), we’d avoid crowds, but the line is consistently long! It’s nuts. Veggie burger? I don’t think you’ll find one here…
