Stella Was a Diver & She Was Always Down

The Peoples Improv Theater in NYC just announced that Michael Showalter has joined its faculty. He will be teaching comedy courses starting in March. For fans of “Stella” and “The State,” this is very exciting! The people over at PIT are VERY friendly and put on lots of great shows; check out their schedule HERE.

And speaking of Showalter, I saw his film The Baxter a few weeks ago, and found it to be one of the finer comedies of 2005. Highly recommended.

Also, thanks to Daniella and Liz for helping me solve #1 mystery in previous post. The band is indeed TV Eyes, and the song is “The Party’s Over.” Great tune; let me know if you’d like me to send you the MP3.

    I’d love to have Mike Showalter (or any former State member) to teach me some comedic skillz. Sadly, I still haven’t see “The Baxter,” but I will try to change that soon.
