Photos from Melissa’s housewarming party in Hoboken!
Melissa and Kim man the bar.

Job well done.

Melissa and I catch up on some reading. We only read it for the, you know, articles.

Liz assembled this montage of yours truly performing my “I’m walking down a non-existant staircase.” Spectacular, I know.

Kim keeps it coming.

The lovely Lisa says hello to her little friend.

Melissa’s new apartment is just as lovely as she. The ride home, however, took a turn for the absurd when us Manhattanites realized the last bus leaving Hoboken was scheduled for 1:30am, NOT 2am as we thought. We spent a good twenty minutes looking for a cab, shivering in the wind and falling snow. A cab finally arrived and the five of us climbed in. Seconds later, however, a police officer pulled up and informed the cab driver that five passengers was one too many. The cab driver promised to circle back in a few moments after the squad car left, but the squad car refused to leave. Just when the situation was about the become dire — sleet was now pelting us — the cab driver sprinted towards us and motioned for us to meet him at the gas station several blocks up the road. Incredulous, we bounded to the gas station, where this very generous cab driver had his warm car idling and waiting for us. We piled in and sunk down in the backseat. Luckily, one more run-in with the police in the Lincoln Tunnel was handled well and we made it home. Huzzah!
Thanks to Liz for the photos!
